Exceptional Washington Wines

Our wines are sourced from Washington State’s award-winning most northern vineyard sites, located in the Ancient Lakes AVA and Wahluke Slope. The vineyards have diverse and complex topography with south and north-facing slopes with soils deposited from Missoula, Montana’s glacial lakes. The vineyards boast a variety of soils, from sand to small particle silt, that sits on top of caliche above basalt ridge.

Varied terroirs and an elevation of about 1,300 feet lead to more complexity in wines featuring crisp acids, minerality and vibrant varietally-driven fruit characteristics. Most varieties reach full maturity at lower brix thanks to a cooler climate. Ripe flavors are achieved at lower sugars which creates balance and structure in white wines, particularly Riesling and Chardonnay.

Evergreen Vineyard

Evergreen Vineyard is one of Washington State’s northern most vineyard sites, located in the Ancient Lakes AVA. The vineyard has a diverse and complex topography with south and north facing slopes that’s soils were deposited from the Missoula floods. The vineyard boasts a variety of soils, from sand to small particle silt, that sit on top of caliche above basalt ridge.

Breathtaking views of the Ancient Lakes, the name sake of the AVA, which were created during the flooding of the last Ice Age, surround the vineyard. Varied terroirs and an elevation of about 1,300 feet lead to more complexity in wines featuring crisp acids, minerality and vibrant varietally-driven fruit characteristics. Northridge Vineyard

Northridge is composed of shallow, ancient soils with 8-18 inches of topsoil atop a caliche barrier. The caliche allows water to trickle through, but impedes root growth past the layer. Never touched by the Missoula floods, these soils have leached calcium over hundreds of years to build the caliche. Northridge sits at an elevation of 1,200 ft. Wines from Northridge Vineyard have a mineral or wet rock component not found elsewhere on the Wahluke Slope.

Clifton Vineyard

Clifton is one of the warmest sites in Washington State. The vineyard is just south of Sentinel Gap, with soils that were formed by deposits from the Missoula floods. Atop the basalt bedrock is large gravel with deposits of sand beneath it that were left as the waters followed the Columbia River. Clifton Vineyard’s elevation of 1,000 feet helps develop the fruit qualities in wine. Clifton Vineyard wines tend to have a larger mouthfeel with fruit forward characteristics.

Sundance Vineyard

Located in the heart of the Wahluke Slope, Sundance Vineyard sits on glacially deposited soils. Its warm, dry climate and unique soil composition add complexity to wines.

Katherine Leone Vineyard

Located a mile from Clifton as the bird flies, Katherine Leone Vineyard has a balance of fruit and mineral characteristics. The vineyard has a gentle westward slope, which prevents it from getting as hot as Clifton. The soils are glacially deposited gravel and sand.
